ABOUT THE ARTIST

     Lia Sallemi is a New York and New Jersey-based makeup artist and hair stylist who has worked on hundreds of faces throughout her career. From an early age, she was captivated by horror films and character design, fascinated by the transformative process of turning actors into different creatures. This passion sparked her journey into makeup artistry.

     Lia attended Empire Beauty School in New Jersey where she earned her cosmetology license in 2017. Shortly after, she enrolled in the Master’s Program at Makeup Designory (MUD) in New York City. During this intensive training, she executed makeup and hair looks for beauty, fashion, and special effects photoshoots, designed original characters, and gained hands-on experience in sculpting, molding, and casting prosthetics.

  Throughout her career, Lia has worked as a makeup artist for special occasions, including weddings, proms, graduations, and has served as a key makeup artist for local theater productions. Skilled in working with all skin tones and ages, she ensures ever client looks and feels their best. 

  Most recently, she completed the I.A.T.S.E Entertainment Makeup Artist Training Course, further strengthening her skills and knowledge of on-set standards and union practices. Lia is now actively pursuing opportunities in film and television, combining her love of beauty and character creation.
